Nuclear Medicine Chief Technologist
Andre has worked in Nuclear Medicine for 12 years and has a very wide range of experience in all aspects of service provision, operationally and managerially. He’s been in the UK for 9 years, having been Deputy Lead in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT and Lead in Imaging Research in three different departments. He’s been the Nuclear Medicine Chief Technologist at Guy’s and St. Thomas NHS Foundation Trust for the last 1 and a half years having developed several service improvement initiatives and participating in the achievement of ISAS accreditation. In this position, Andre takes a leading role in the development of guidelines, quality standards for the provision of the service and education of the workforce within the field of nuclear medicine.
Andre is also an invited lecturer at City University of London, Southbank University and King’s College London University, where he teaches Nuclear Medicine modules in graduate and post-graduate degrees, ranging from the basics of Nuclear Medicine to instrumentation and to SPECT/CT, PET/CT and PET/MR techniques.
Matthew Elm
Matthew joined the NHS in 2009 with the Nuclear Medicine Team at City Hospital Birmingham, where he has been ever since. In 2012 he also joined the Krypton Production Team, where he now operates a dual role as a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at City Hospital and a Krypton Production Technologist working with the Cyclotron at Birmingham University to provide Krypton Generators across the UK.
Margaret Hall
I am a nuclear medicine physician and am currently the lead consultant at the Royal Free Hospital, London. I have worked in both district general hospitals and teaching hospitals and have a love for general nuclear medicine and quality improvement. Until this year I was chair of the professional standards committee of the BNMS and I am currently involved with commissioning in nuclear medicine.
Nick Gulliver
Nick has worked in nuclear medicine since 1998 at several large teaching hospitals (all based in London). He has been a chief technologist since 2012. Nick has lectured at national and international conferences and courses on general nuclear medicine and PET-CT including BNMS, EANM and Balkan congresses. He currently sits on the technologist committee of EANM as Educational Representative and on the RTN (Radiographers, Technologists & Nurses) Council of BNMS.

John Dickson
John Dickson Ph.D. is Head of Clinical Nuclear Medicine Physics at University College London Hospitals. One of his major clinical and research interests is neuroimaging, with a focus on quantification. John has been involved in numerous UK, European and worldwide neuroimaging collaborations, publishing widely. He is a member of the RSNA QIBA SPECT Biomarker committee which is currently focusing on quantitative DAT imaging.
Rebelidad Leshen
Mrs. Rebelidad Leshen has been a Nuclear Technologist for almost 21 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine. Presently, she is the Lead Technologist in Therapy Service of Royal Free Hospital where she played a vital role in improving the workflow of the therapy service, actively participates in research studies in therapy and training the technologists in assisting the physicians in different therapies like Lu-177 therapy, Iodine therapy, Radium therapy, SIRT therapy and Radiosynovectomy.
Ivy Vito
Ivy is currently working as Deputy Chief NM Technologist at the Nuclear Medicine Department, Royal Free London since 2006. She has a wide experience in a variety of investigational procedures and radionuclide therapies. She led the Technologist participation in radionuclide therapies at RFL. Other interests include DXA management & Reporting, Cardiac imaging and Quality Management System.She worked in the Phil Heart Centre from 1995 as NM Technologist before coming to QE Hospital London in 2003.
Dr Lorenzo Biassoni

Annah Skillen
Annah is a senior technologist and the PET/CT lead at The Royal Free Hospital. Originally from Australia, she relocated to the UK in 2011 and worked in a number of London departments prior to commencing her permanent role at the Royal Free. She has recently co-edited a textbook on the Basic Sciences of PET/CT which will be published later this year.
Dr Ann-Marie Quigley
Ann-Marie Quigley is a consultant in nuclear medicine at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. Having gained her MRCP, she trained in radiology and radionuclide radiology in Manchester and London, gaining a CCST in radiology in 2004. She subsequently specialized in nuclear medicine, obtaining a CCT. She completed her MSc in Nuclear Medicine, and was appointed to her current post in 2006.
Her special interests include hybrid imaging (particularly within patients with neuroendocrine tumours) and radionuclide therapy. She is the nuclear medicine lead for the National Amyloid Unit at the Royal Free.
Mr Fred Wickham
Fred Wickham has worked as a physicist in the nuclear medicine department at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust since 2008, providing physics support for services including PET-CT, SPECT-CT and other nuclear medicine imaging, non-imaging tests and radionuclide therapies. He teaches on the Nuclear Medicine: Science & Practice MSc course run by Kings College London. His interests include dosimetry, GFR measurement and activity optimisation.
Sandreil Jacob
I joined the NHS in 2003 as a nuclear medicine technologist and started working at the Royal Free Hospital in 2008. Currently, I am the lead technologist of DXA services performing DXA research procedures and DXA reporting and also actively involved in general nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures.
Arum Parthipun
Dr Arum Parthipun is a Consultant Radionuclide Radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal hybrid imaging. Having qualified from Imperial College in 2000, he went on to specialist radiology training at St Georges Hospital after obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003 and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2006. He has been working as a Consultant Radiologist since 2009 and specialises in hybrid imaging techniques, with a particular interest in SPECT/CT.
Ronald Visperas
Ronald graduated from Saint Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. He started as Junior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Makati Medical Centre, before moving to Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital as Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Presently, he is working as Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at UCLH Foundation Trust.
Amy Pritchard
Amy is the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist at the Royal Free Hospital. She first joined the Royal Free team as a locum, and after a short stint back at home in Australia, commenced her role as Chief in 2007. She is the Lead Technologist for research in PET Mammography at the Royal Free Hospital and regularly presents at the King’s College MSc program as well as other Nuclear Medicine meetings in London.
Pippa Mashford
Pippa has worked as a radiographer at great Ormond street children’s hospital for more years than she wishes to emit too. After being a rotational radiographer, she took up a full-time post in Nuclear medicine in 2003. She confesses to having a passion for paediatrics and is currently responsible for training of junior staff, IV administration and the day-to-day service delivery of the department.
